I am a highly skilled and motivated Aerospace Engineer with over 29 years in the aerospace industry sector. I have a diverse spectrum of experience both technical and managerial branching across Research and Development in aerostructures and technology, Stress Engineering of PSE airframe structures and Interiors Certification Engineering to EASA Part 2IJ, CS25 requirements for ETSO process. I have led the seat certification programme for one of the most complex suite of aircraft seats for a National European Airline and American OEM.I have worked for EY Belfast and Birmingham as a manager in the R&D Tax incentives team and through my engineering experience was able to identify qualifying R&D activities in a wide spectrum of science and technology sectors to ensure a robust and credible claim was compiled.I have gained in this job extensive knowledge of the R&D tax regimes in the UK, in the EY Belfast innovations team and helped develop and identify new opportunities and relationships with InvestNI and other bodies.A passion for STEM and a role model for women in engineering is why I have returned to aircraft seat certification whereby my extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, complex problem solving and collaborative team approach will aid in the successful certification approval of innovative seat designs.
