Paula is a partner in the Insurance and Reinsurance team at Eversheds Sutherland LLP. She advises insurers, insurance intermediaries, other financial services firms and businesses outside the financial sector on non-contentious and contentious insurance issues.She has extensive experience of drafting and negotiating insurance market agreements, including binding authority agreements, distribution agreements and claims handling agreements. She advises upon the interpretation and application of the FCA Handbook to insurance businesses and advises clients whose primary business is not insurance on regulatory issues arising from their involvement in the sale of insurance products. Paula recently advised on the set up and operation of Flood Re, the not for profit reinsurance fund owned and managed by the insurance industry for which Eversheds Sutherland were awarded Legal Business Insurance Team of the Year 2016. Paula is recognised in the Legal 500 as "first-class".She regularly advises upon disputes in relation to policy coverage and disputes upon insurance market agreements and has extensive experience of court procedure, arbitration proceedings and mediation.
