I remain as a member of the Disaster Management team in Alberta, but have transitioned to the Alberta Fire Recovery Operation. Choosing to relocate to Fort McMurray, I continue to facilitate the granting process through our Community Organization Partnerships Program while maintaining my Slave Lake and AB Floods 2013 Community Grant responsibilities.

As Community Liaison Officer, I guided applicants through our community grants process, maintaining positive relationships with partners from pre-application conversations through final reporting, and beyond. I also provide organizational support to the Refugee Resettlement Response in Alberta, acting as the Red Cross on-site supervisor alongside lead agency CCIS creating safe spaces for children and youth in one of Calgary's resettlement centres. I also had the privilege of contributing to the Refugee Resettlement Response in British Columbia.
