At present I have been awarded ICMR- Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) by ICMR, New Delhi- Here I am involved in molecular characterisation of non-typhoidal Salmonella isolated from patients with acute gastroenteritis. I am involved in the surveillance study related to S.typhi, Paratyphi A, B and C, where my role is to estimate the burden of enetric fever by isolating and confirming the pathogens, Identifying their antimicrobial profile both by phenotypic and genotypic methods and preparing them for whole genome sequencing. Moreover, I conduct mock contamination of different food samples with known enteric pathogens to standardize certain kits.
