I'm a highly experienced specialist who has provided the strategic insight behind many award-winning employer brands. I've also worked across a range of sectors, including retail, engineering/IT/software, construction/engineering, Financial Services, Professional Services, Central and Local Government, health and social care, pharmaceuticals, transport/shipping and Higher Education.I thrive on getting to the heart of a challenge, and actively working with clients to shape EVPs and messaging that will achieve cut through in markets where recruitment and, increasingly, retention are tricky. I'm delighted to say that some of my clients have been kind enough to give me recommendations, which you can read further down in my profile.I've had the pleasure of partnering with organisations regionally, nationally and internationally. My client experience includes Novo Nordisk, Direct Line Group, Hitachi Rail, Skanska UK, Sainsbury’s, Lloyds Banking Group, Maersk, Clifford Chance, Amazon; Central Government departments (e.g. Department for Transport, Defra and MOD), NHS trusts (e.g. Central Manchester University Hospital Trust), a range of local authorities such as Essex and Surrey County Councils, and universities including Sheffield, Manchester and Reading.I'm now back working on a contract/freelance basis (my first time round was between 2004 and 2009). My focus today is on helping clients understand why the people their organisations need to thrive, should choose to join and stay with them. Having started my career in corporate communications, I understand the intrinsic link between organisations, their people, and their reputations. It's a context I bring to every assignment, which means employer brands I work on are never created in isolation of the wider brand picture of which they are a part.
