Leading training initiatives focused on all aspects of developing the NTSB's internal workforce, to include investigative and technical training (including training to investigate novel accidents stemming from emerging transportation technologies), and the full spectrum of Leadership Development, Teambuilding, Employee Engagement, Hybrid Work Environment, Safety and Compliance, and Workforce Development training for a diverse workforce.

Serve in a collateral duty capacity as the agency's Senior Advisor for Disability Employment (and former Disability Employment Program Manager) and member of the agency's Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility Committee, supporting Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) initiatives such as recruitment, career development, retention, and reasonable accommodation. Provide analytical direction in support of the agency's MD-715 report and other data analytics and barrier analyses, as well as overseeing the NTSB Training Center's implementation of DEIA and EEOC compliance training. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Received the agency's 2014 EEO, Diversity & Inclusion Award for initiating and implementing the agency's MOA with the DoD Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program, ensuring a path for reasonable accommodation of employees with disabilities. Advocated and supported the implementation of the agency's first contract for in-person interpreting and Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) services, and the upgrading of the NTSB HQ Boardroom's and the Training Center's audiovisual systems to incorporate Assistive Listening Systems.

Provide strategic leadership and management of the NTSB’s Training Center, in support of its mission to deliver comprehensive workforce development training, mentoring, and coaching—including accident investigations, leadership development, occupational safety and health, and all related mission support disciplines—for NTSB employees, as well as training in transportation accident investigation, transportation disaster family assistance, transportation disaster communications, and related topics to the transportation industry and other International, Federal, State, and Local Government entities.ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Reinvisioned and transformed the leadership and general skills training offerings from a few group courses available annually to a curation strategy that provides a multitude of individualized training and coaching opportunities tailored to the specific needs of employees, significantly increasing employee participation in the right training for their career development at no increase in cost. Oversaw the development and promoted the implementation of a "Career Development Roadmap" that matched career development competencies with available courses to help empower employees to chart a course for their future, and help them navigate the significantly increased opportunities afforded by the new curation strategy. Conducted surveys and listening sessions of mission-essential investigative employees to identify training needs and opportunities for revising offerings for initial (onboarding) and refresher/advanced training.

Parliamentarian; Responsible for managing the NTSB's Executive Secretariat functions, including the Board Member voting and correspondence processes. Implemented a leading-edge, paperless, integrated system for document management, Board voting, information management, routine stakeholder communications, and public dissemination of safety recommendation status information, that included end-to-end digital processing including digital signatures. Worked with other federal agencies to at least streamline their end-processes for transmitting correspondence to us digitally, and gave a presentation to the Council of Federal Executive Secretariats (including a keynote by the NTSB Chairman extolling her embracement of the digital platform), to inspire opportunities for change by other agencies.Once COVID-19 hit and employees were sent home to telework, I called members of my former staff to see how things were going. They were delighted that the transition was seamless, except for the few correspondence items that came in by hardcopy, requiring that someone go in to scan and input them into the system.
