Support the Financial Data Management team to ensure that Microsoft’s financial transactions and reporting meet defined corporate standards.• Prepared restatements in order to reclassified previously reported financial information for FY14 driven by the need to align with and update made to Microsoft’s external reporting segments. • Month end close activities to audit P&L quality. Running and review reports, writing allocation rules under the direction of the allocation specialist and troubleshooting issues as they occur.• Working with the revenue hierarchy team to assess, categorize and plan the course of action for change requests submitted from across the company.• Perform ad hoc duties on companywide projects led by FDM to improve Microsoft financial reporting data structures.

Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area

Supported the Global Talent Acquisition division by tracking and improving business’ performance through KPI’s.• Developed and implemented a framework by partnering with the scheduling team to track crew member par level (KPI) resulting on a daily average of 93% to the par level for the full year.• Successfully drove improvement of headcount and people cost yearly forecast, achieving a variance to forecast of 4.3% for the full year across 31 cruise ships (Average 1,100+ person per ship, $45K CPH).• Collaborated with the hiring partners to optimize the recruiting process, generating a cost saving impact of 5% of the full year budget. • Created dashboards using Oracle’s Hyperion tool based on information generated using SQL queries with the purpose of expedite and facilitate access to internal customers to a different set of analysis with real time data.

Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area

Owed the invoicing, billing, and cost allocation for the Crew Acquisition Movement process that generated more than $30 millions in accounts payable. • Developed and implemented process to efficiently move crew members across the fleet resulting in a total savings of 4% of the initial plan. • Collaborated with internal and external business partners on communication, design and development of changes related to invoicing systems and processes. • Supported the management and testing of the Hotel Billing System (HBS), an auto payment tool that processes an estimated $10M per year. • Validated Hotel & Transportation charges in multiple currencies for international vendors in the Caribbean, Europe, North Africa, Asia and the Pacific Islands.• Drove the cost allocation across the different departments, and ensured the costs/rates were in accordance with the contracted rates.• Prepared monthly reports for Financial Review as well as weekly HBS discrepancy reports.

Colombia

Owed the sales, and marketing budget, forecast, monthly close, and compliance of a sales unit P&L that generated more than $600M gross revenue annually, and had an OPEX $10M.• Optimized different alternatives of revenue adjustment activities (Rebates, Co-op marketing activities) to improve sell-in. As a result net revenue and profit margins had an impactful of +15%.• Led the weekly sales outlook, and monthly short term planning to the general manager and sales unit controller. • Created and implemented framework to improve collections in the region. DSO (Days sales outstanding) improved in more than 60 days, and A/R were maintained in the range of 15 days past due.• Successfully led forecasting and implemented spend process in North Latin America countries to improve variance performance, reducing VTF at 1% level for quarter and full year.• Supported cost center managers in budget transfers and budgets updates that helped to improve the quarterly forecast accuracy in more than 5%.• Partnered with marketing and CARE (post sale organization) to improve the “after the fact” resulting in a no material levels at the end of the year.• Generated inter-company transfer, and internal orders allocations.
