A Strategist and Inspirer, as it says on the tin i.e. my tagline!I am a highly motivated career and outcome focused individual who has worked extensively in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, and London, and who has worked in the non-profit and disability sectors for over 30 years, and I have 20 years of management experience at all levels, with 16 years as a senior manager. My specialities lie in identifying areas of development within an organisation and providing leadership towards a more robust and sustainable future.My specialities are diverse, and I have proven strategic management experience in association with several organisations. I am a skilled forecaster and can tell pretty quickly how an organisation is likely to do in the mid-term, after looking at 1) expenditure on overheads against income and 2) their rationale for existence after considering the prevailing socio-economic environment.I have skills in business development and am a damn good bid-writer, and have written many funding bids and tenders on for organisations and individuals. And I continue to develop marketing plans for organisations, and have done so for many organisations I have been involved with.Not only that, I have other hidden skills! I am also a linguist and possess qualifications in language and translation. And I am not too bad with IT, possessing advanced skills and have even built an interpreting booking system using off-the-shelf software.My unique experience and knowledge, developed over 30 years in 2 separate countries, makes me an unique proposition, and I add that bit of extra value to any organisation I am associated withIn addition, I am a keen patron of the Arts. My background picture (above) shows me giving a talk to 100 people about Roy Lichtenstein at the Tate Modern in London! And my personal interests are diverse, including cars, music, technology, culture, traveling, literature, and sport. And I'm also even a pretty mean bassist!
