About Paul Bennett

As a mechanical engineering student at Queen's University, I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to real-world problems, especially in the field of biomechanics. I have received multiple honors and awards for my academic excellence, including the Queen's University Excellence Scholarship, the Burnside Award for Engineering, and the Dean's Scholar designation.I am now also enrolled in the Certificate in Law Program at Queen's studying a broad set of subjects such as International Law, Criminal Law, Corporate Law and more. This program allows for a breadth of knowledge while studying cases and practicing law in courtroom simulations.Currently, I am working as a quantitative methods analyst intern at Ontario Power Generation (OPG), where I use machine learning algorithms to track trends from sensors across 46 power generation stations in OPG's fleet. By creating and maintaining models of normal operation, I help reduce waste, increase efficiency, and monitor equipment degradation based on live and historical data. Previously, I worked as a production intern at Schaeffler Aerospace Canada, where I focused on the manufacturing of high precision bearings for industrial, civilian, and military aerospace applications.
