Started my working life as a research scientist but left the world of academia for commerce when I was severely bitten by the personal computer bug in the late seventies.Founded Adept Scientific plc with my wife in 1984 as a focused supplier of technical computing solutions to scientists and engineers. We grew to have a great team of over 50 people in several countries. The company was sold in 2013. I now spend most of my time looking for opportunities to use my business knowledge and experience to help new and growing companies. An example of this was partnering with Chris Rand and Andy Pye to launch ProTalk a web based publishing company which we ran for 7 years before selling it to a larger publishing group.My goal has always been to make sure every one of the companies that I work with with is market leading, fast growing and profitable!Specialties: Distribution of specialised technical products, Ecommerce, digital marketing, software marketing, acquisition and management of overseas offices, managing companies for growth and profitability.
