Following CPAG and Hard Hat Health merger I was fortunate enough to be offered the role of Clinical and Compliance Manager. The role is varied, challenging and enjoyable trying to manage my time and maintain quality in my work. Responsibilities include;- Developing an organisational culture that promotes clinical engagement in decision making and leading continuous change and improvement in services, encouraging the use of new clinical and service technologies- Provide visible leadership for medical staff on both professional and educational issues- Ensure regular communication and meetings with medical staff, in conjunction with operational senior managers, ensuring they are engaged with the development and implementation of clinical standards, policies and procedures. - Coordinate appraisals, job planning, Continuing Professional Development, re-licensing and revalidation of doctors, nurses, paramedics and related clinical staff employed by CPAGH&M. - Work with the Medical Director to develop clinical governance strategies, systems and processes and to ensure the active participation by all medical staff- Conduct incident investigations as requested- Support Operations management team- Conduct and maintain Quality Audit Schedule for all sites- Conduct audits of Medical Records according to defined schedule- Attend regular meetings with Clinical Governance Committee- Participate as a Member of Quality Management Committee- Assist with medical input in the development of clinical strategies - Develop and implement and regular review of Clinical Practice Guidelines including drug therapy protocols- Assist in the development of tender proposals- Undertake business development activities- Build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders- Improve and maintain robust systems and processes
