Prior to my arrival all development work had been undertaken by an external company.When I left in October 2012 the team had grown from just myself to a team of 6 including 3 software developers, a senior software developer and a dedicated web designer.We maintained and enhanced the KERMITT system which was an all encompassing order processing system which was used across many areas of the Kukri business.Amongst the many projects undertaken were enhancing the KERMITT system with the introduction of Order Item Costs & Margins and two new applications, Squirrel Sports and Team Shop Builder.Order Item Costs & Margins – allowed our sales managers to adjust pricing and see profit margin indicators in real time when creating orders. This included adding complex matrices for calculating garment embellishment.Squirrel Sports – a sports website built on a popular PHP framework. I managed this project, liaising with an external software development company to customise the PHP application. I also developed PHP and Java interfaces to allow integration with our stock and order system. Team Shop Builder - this application allows a customer to create an online shop for their sports team. It gives them the ability to add Kukri Sports product and personalise with options such as logos, names and numbers. Show less
