CUREE's mission is to promote continuous improvement through application of evidence to practice. This usually takes concrete form in research, development and training.As the Managing Director of CUREE, IDirect R&D projects e.g.* creating an evaluation strategy for the Education and Training Foundation* large scale programme of randomised control trials for NCTL* an evidence publications project for LSIS ,* multi-year staff and student survey based research project for QCA.;* a rich media training resources project for 14-19 practitioners; * an even bigger set of resources for mentoring and coaching;* a major piece of policy analysis on the impact of the recession on employment and training;* a large scale evaluation of training providers registered on the TDA database.Direct the 'business services' (IT, finance, HR etc)Direct our knowledge strategy and servicesPreviously, I have been:Distance and e-Learning Adviser at the National LSC;Vice-principal at Coventry Technical College,Lecturer and consultant in education leadership;Local Authority policy officer. I have an MA in Education (Sussex) and sundry management and engineering qualifications. I am a member of the Association for Learning Technology and the British Educational Research Association. I serve on the Development and Editorial Groups of the UK Education Evidence Portal (EEP) and the Learning to Learn advisory group.. I am a National Leader of Governance for NSCL, I undertake reviews of governance as triggered by Ofsted.
