Beginning in 4/2013, I have been consulting at Northwest Evaluation Association (http://www.nwea.org/) which does computer-based adaptive testing for students from kindergarten through high school.From 10/2012–3/2013, I consulted at US Bank to build a Spring/Hibernate application hosted on WebSphere to assist with international wire transfers. This is a new application for compliance with the Dodd-Frank Act.

Axian is a consulting and professional services company where my main assignment was a 10 month position at Nike as a Tech Lead in the Digital Commerce organization. I was also involved with several smaller projects that involved Java development for LAMP and Struts J2EE.

* Managed branch creation and code integration.* Oversaw build and internal deployment including initial testing and QA hand-off.* Participated in numerous production deployments in support of store.nike.com.* Participated in Scrum, bug scrub, and as needed resource planning meetings.* Coordinated with multiple internal Nike groups such as SCM, Tech Services, and CCB.

Member of the team that designed and implemented the core XHQ product that was adopted by several major oil companies to do real-time data aggregation and display. Primary areas of focus: * Supported data acquisition for polled and event based data from several back end systems such as Honeywell's PHD, OSI PI, AspenTech IP.21, Oracle, SQL Server, and EMC Documentum, as well as more generic OPC and JDBC sources. * Worked extensively with point data time-series functionality to include trending, aggregation, and historization. * Implemented multiple retrieval techniques for RDB data. * Collaborated on server development including ongoing maintenance and performance optimization. * Helped design and implement a dynamic tag update mechanism. * Participated in all phases of the development cycle including requirements, specification, design, implementation, and testing. * Provided project management for product updates by coordinating closely with Development, Product Management, and Quality Assurance. * Interfaced directly with Tech Support to provide initial development analysis of problems in order to resolve issues before they needed to be elevated to the rest of the development team. * Assisted Quality Assurance to analyze test issues and coordinate problem resolution.

Provided support for several hundred UNIX workstations used to run CAD/CAM and data analysis software. Assisted and coordinated a team that did multiple major server installations including server configuration and data migration. Consulted with a large project that was mandated to work out the security and access issues to provide single sign on to UNIX and Microsoft based applications. Configured and utilized backup and recovery tools.

Participated in small group military operations for three years with a heavy emphasis on training of team members. For one year, worked as the company Training NCO maintaining training information and assisting the company commander with resource and logistical management.

Worked in support, design, and development of real-time data acquisition and display applications for propulsion and wind tunnel testing.
