I worked on two projects. The first was managing the migration of key records from the 3Com CRM system to the HP CRM system. The second was the archival of key 3Com application data so the 3Com CRM system could be fully retired and cost savings achieved.

My role as Senior Business Service Analyst included project management, gathering and building detailed business requirements for the developers of our Siebel CRM application. A close relationship was maintained with key users globally for the Sales, Marketing and Services organizations to share a good understanding of their different operational needs.

I was the SCO UNIX and Oracle database administrator, managing the system used by the UK Sales & Marketing divisions.

I implemented a new system for the Mobil Gas Marketing division. This was a successful migration from the previous bespoke system to two purchased software applications. I was the systems administrator for the Ingres, Oracle, Business Objects and UNIX systems.

This was the year of professional experience in my degree. With sole responsibility for some key mainframe systems, projects included software development for a text retrieval system used by the London and Aberdeen offices. This system was upgraded to the latest release and some much needed enhancements were developed and deployed. I was also an IT.
