As Director of Youth & Education at St John Ambulance, I am committed to creating impactful, inclusive, and high-quality programmes that equip future generations with skills to make a difference in their communities. I lead the strategic development of youth services, educational initiatives, and qualifications, ensuring these resonate with today’s young people and set the standard for excellence.Throughout my career, I have fostered partnerships across government bodies, educational institutions, and other sectors to advance St John’s mission. I’m driven by compassionate leadership, continuous improvement, and innovation in education, integrating youth engagement strategies with collaborative learning environments to keep St John at the forefront of third-sector youth services.As a leader, I champion St John’s HEART values – Humanity, Excellence, Accountability, Responsiveness, and Teamwork – in every aspect of my role. Listening, learning, and leading with empathy are my guiding principles for creating a team environment where every member can thrive and contribute to our shared goals.I hold a First-Class Honours Degree in Business and Management, a Diploma in Psychotherapy, and a Level 4 qualification as a Teacher of Further Education, with a current focus on a Postgraduate qualification in Strategic Leadership and Management.I am proud to have been invited as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) in 2009 and hold full membership with the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI). Recently, I completed a 10-year term as Chair of Trustees at ISAS, an award-winning sexual assault and abuse charity, and currently serve as a trustee for the learning disability charity REACH.
