Skilled and experienced in all aspects of paediatric medicine, and passionate about providing the highest quality care to children from birth until their 18th birthday. Particular expertise in paediatric critical care and children’s emergency medicine, with broad clinical interests including major trauma, acute pain management, fluid and electrolyte abnormalities, point of care ultrasound, safeguarding children and unexpected childhood death, adolescent health, infection and antimicrobial stewardship. Active in pre-hospital care, as Emergency Care Clinician and National Clinical Lead for Children and Young People for St John Ambulance. Responsible for providing expert child health advice to senior managers and business partners, and producing workable, evidence based, guidance, strategy, policy, and processes to improve the service delivered to children and young people across the charity. Currently working with UK College of Paramedics to set paediatric curriculum for ambulance clinicians. Guest teacher for paramedic science degree students. Instructor for advanced life support and advanced paediatric life support courses. Recent reviewer for paediatric trauma chapter in Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support manual.
