Paul T. Fader is a named partner and member of the Executive Committee of Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader, LLC. Prior to joining FPS&F, Paul served as Chief Counsel to New Jersey Governors Richard J. Codey and James E. McGreevey, where he provided legal counsel to, and representation for, the Governor of the State of New Jersey on a daily basis pertaining to issues involving all aspects of state government.Prior to serving as Chief Counsel to Governor Codey, Paul served as Chief Counsel, Deputy Chief Counsel, and Director of the Authorities Unit in the Office of Governor James E. McGreevey. The Authorities Unit superintends the state’s 43 independent authorities, boards and commissions, which include the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment and Development Authority and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. As Director of the Authorities Unit, Paul was responsible for over 44,000 employees and an annual aggregate revenue stream of more than $14 billion. Paul's leadership was instrumental in the consolidation of the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway Authorities.Previously, Paul was a partner at Connell Foley LLP in Roseland, which he joined as an associate in 1989. He specialized in construction and public contract law, civil litigation, commercial development and land use. Paul was the editor of Connell Foley LLP’s Construction Law Update and Fast Fax and has published several articles related to his professional expertise. Immediately following law school, Paul was a law clerk for the Honorable Sylvia B. Pressler, Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Appellate Division, and prior to law school Paul served as Special Assistant and Director of Constituent Relations for then Congressman Robert G.
