About Paul Fleming

I am a Tax Director in Ernst & Young’s Waterford office where I lead the Business Tax Advisory team. I specialise in the provision of taxation services to both indigenous and global organisations. Within this role I proactively bring tax planning initiatives appropriate to a clients current and future business model to ensure the organisation can minimise tax rates and optimise tax related cash flows. I have also cultivated a wealth of tax planning and compliance experience in both privately held and high growth potential companies. In addition I have worked on significant corporate restructuring and international financing transaction projects. In 2009 I was seconded to the New York office where I lead the Irish Tax Desk. In this role I was involved in advising US businesses on a wide range of Irish tax issues and it also provided significant exposure to international tax issues which has enhanced my overall tax expertise. This has empowered me with a unique skill set beneficial to my local and multinational clients with Ernst & Young. My experience to date has allowed me to work with a broad range of Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies and local Irish businesses within the following industry sectors: technology, communications, manufacturing, retail, life sciences, food and drink.
