At Planet Forward, I use multimedia storytelling to facilitate collaborative problem-solving between local communities, political institutions, and the scientific community on issues like marine conservation and sustainable agriculture. In doing so, I am actively exploring my career interests in environmental journalism, photography, and filmmaking.

• Created graphical abstracts and conceptual figures for scientific papers, grant proposals, and academic conferences.• Attended and designed materials for a scientific conference (SALT: Salinity Affected Lands in Transition).• Identified, weighed, and sorted salt marsh plants from the Virginia Coast Reserve.• Conducted biomass sampling on agricultural recovery plots and performed fieldwork on an NPS caging experiment along the Anacostia River.

• Collected, processed, and analyzed soil and water samples from coastal farms and tidal marshes to study sea-level rise and saltwater intrusion impacts in the Mid-Atlantic region.• Conducted an independent project to locate risk areas for nutrient runoff into the Chesapeake Bay. • Created a collaborative ArcGIS StoryMap to communicate the impacts of saltwater intrusion.• Photographed agricultural sites and published original landscape photography in local news articles.
