Together with the team Asset Management & Improvement, I’m responsible for implementing Asset Management according ISO55000 within MSD Animal Health the Netherlands. Next to Asset Management, Energy Management (ISO 50001) and Operational Excellence (LEAN & Six Sigma) are focus areas of my department.

As Asset Manager within MSD I was responsible for defining the conditions required for an asset to perform optimal, within acceptable risk and against acceptable costs during the whole life cycle of an asset. As Asset manager I advised the Asset Owner on:• Capacity, utilization of assets• Life extension, modification or replacement of assets• Expected Opex and Capex• The risks associated with the asset

As Risk officer I gained experience in the Risk Based Asset Management methodology that is used within Enexis. The RBAM methodology enables quantifying asset related risks and making tradeoffs between different investment strategies. As Risk officer I managed the risks register and quantify asset related risks. In addition to the RBAM methodology, BowTies were developed in order to start the implementation of Barrier Based Risk Management. Barrier Based Risk Management creates a systematic overview of all the threats related to a specific hazard, in combination with all barriers that are in place to mitigate the threats. The methodology helps to prioritize and bring focus to a wide variety of topics.

At DNV GL (KEMA) I gained experience on the subject of wind energy. I've carried out due diligence studies for several Dutch utilities. In these due diligences I was involved in the evaluation of the expected costs, risks and synergy of conventional techniques as well as on site assessment of the wind assetsI was involved as owners engineer in the realization of a several wind farms in the Caribbean. I have also participated in a front end engineering design study for a large offshore wind farm. Within this project I was responsible for developing a suitable operation & maintenance strategy for two offshore wind farms.Besides wind energy, I was involved in several reliability and safety studies. Like the development of a tool to determine, for any section of the Dutch rail infrastructure, the availability/reliability. For the Doha metro I was involved as RAMS specialist in the conceptual design fase. I developed a tool that enables the Dutch TSO to determine the condition and remaining life of major components of their grid.
