I was responsible for the management and Health and Safety of the 4 Traffic Management operatives and sub-contractors on site. Whilst at Premier Traffic, I gained my OCR Level 3 in Assessing Vocational Achievement, and my role grew to include training delivery and assessment for all sector schemes for Premier Traffic Manager. -
Service ManagerA-Plant Oct 2008 - Aug 2010StocktonAs Service Manager, my main role was to ensure the smooth running of Stockton traffic, with responsibilities including planning and approving all works relating to traffic management, site surveys and site meetings. I was solely responsible for the closure of the A1, Jct 59-60, North and South which included writing all method statements, risk assessments and planning the diversion route. I also assisted in the closure of A590, Liverpool to Manchester.

My duties included picking loading lists and the organisation of vehicles but quickly expanded my knowledge of Chapter 8 and how to prepare equipment for pending contracts. Promoted to yard manager, I become involved in the logistics of all contracts. Assigned on contracts across the North East, Yorkshire and Cumbria, I worked with teams on the installation, maintenance and removal of the following:- Narrow lanes- Stop/Go- 2,3,4 way traffic light set ups which included double headers- Diversion routes- Convoy working - Priority Systems The valuable industry experience I gained at Lux Traffic allowed me to achieve my Sector schemes.
