My role at BeSafe is a varied one. Responsible for managing relationships with our existing clients, I am also responsible for sourcing new contracts for the businesses and managing the day-to-day running of the training centre. As lead trainer, I deliver internal and external training on NHSS 12,as a Lantra Approved trainer and assessor, I am proficient in all aspects of traffic management including: 12A/B, 12C, 12D, IPV, Foreman and TSCO. Having worked in traffic management for 9 years, I understand the industry extensively and relate to all our delegates as we take them through our assessments.

Whilst at Infrasafe, I delivered internal and external training on NHSS 12 and Network Rail.In this role, my duties includes all assessment and training on the highways courses as well as managing the day to day administration tasks associated with the training centre. I was contracted to deliver training and assessment for our sister company Roadsafe on their larger contract. I gained my IV award to become an IV on Keep Right Tm centre and Colas North centre. As Lead TSCO, I delivered the A19 interchange widening scheme at the Silverlink roundabout, North Shields. I was responsible for the management and Health and Safety of the 4 Traffic Management operatives and sub-contractors on site. Whilst at Premier Traffic, I gained my OCR Level 3 in Assessing Vocational Achievement, and my role grew to include training delivery and assessment for all sector schemes for Premier Traffic Manager.

As Service Manager, my main role was to ensure the smooth running of Stockton traffic, with responsibilities including planning and approving all works relating to traffic management, site surveys and site meetings. Tasked with developing new business leads, I was responsible for maintaining good relationships with existing clients to ensure their customer service requirements were always met to a high standard. I offered consultancy advice on chapter 8, Traffic Management compliance, for working on both high speed and minor roads to secure the best guidance on requirements and resolutions prior to submitting costs to the clients.I was also responsible for 11 Traffic Management Operatives which included managing their workload, absence and performance, giving guidance when required. During this role, I achieved the TSCO qualification and gained experience of Type A works on the A66, Middleborough on behalf of RTM. I was solely responsible for the closure of the A1, Jct 59-60, North and South which included writing all method statements, risk assessments and planning the diversion route. I also assisted in the closure of A590, Liverpool to Manchester.

My position as TMO began with general labouring duties at the busy traffic management yard. My duties included picking loading lists and the organisation of vehicles but quickly expanded my knowledge of Chapter 8 and how to prepare equipment for pending contracts. Promoted to yard manager, I become involved in the logistics of all contracts. Assigned on contracts across the North East, Yorkshire and Cumbria, I worked with teams on the installation, maintenance and removal of the following:- Narrow lanes- Stop/Go- 2,3,4 way traffic light set ups which included double headers- Diversion routes- Convoy working - Priority Systems The valuable industry experience I gained at Lux Traffic allowed me to achieve my Sector schemes.
