Director General of The European Heat Pump Association. working at an EU level to support the delivery of european heat decarbonisation for cliamte, security and competitiveness. Formerly advisor to Minister Eamon Ryan (IE). Supported the delivery of a comprehensive change in Irish energy policy over 4 years across electricity and heat resulting in the lowest co2 emissions in ireland in 30 years and the sharpest downward trajectory of co2 emissions ever planned, built on comprehensive heat and electricity policies including the procurement of an additional 30TWh of renewable electricity over 4 years. Delivered a substantial increase in capacity of the Irish state to implement comprehensive energy and climate policy. Formerly CEO of Tipperary energy agency. Founder of Superhomes Ireland deep retrofit service. Supporter of community energy. Presented to Ireland’s citizens assembly on climate change and subsequent Parlimentary committees..
