About Paul Glick

A senior level organizational leader with over 20 years of domestic and international experience in international development and poverty alleviation through project implementation, stakeholder engagement and mobilization, full-cycle grant management from start-up through close-down, workforce development, capacity building and conflict management. For the last 9 years I have developed and led a multi-million dollar grant giving, philanthropic organization. I have designed, executed and monitored programs for public, private and government entities with proven results and sustainability to include but not be limited to; advancing community stabilization in conflict zones, strengthening local level government service provision, improving communication between private companies and communities, community mobilization, improving access to healthcare services, developing innovative educational programming, providing support services for those with disabilities, highlighting the importance of gender equality and supporting the growth of civil society.     ~ Provided leadership for Tanzania Country Office to include program and financial management (annual portfolio of approximately 2.5 million USD), office operations and staff supervision for roughly 25 personnel in 3 field office locations.~ Took a stagnant country program to a successful year of operations (2013) and ensured its prosperity through 2014.~ Managed and was solely responsible for the success of The TEAM: a radio and television program focused on gender equality and funded by DFID, Advancing Sustainable Peace and Security in Tanzania: a corporate social responsibility (CSR) and conflict mitigation project funded by Africa Barrick Gold, Conflict Management Services as a component of a UNESCO program (Democratic Empowerment Project), Supporting the Implementation of the Maputo Protocol: a US State Department funded program specifically aimed at working with Tanzanian civil society for the purpose of promoting the Maputo Protocol and the USAID supported project called Promoting Healthy State-Citizen Relations in Africa which focused on improving relationship between civil society organizations and the Tanzanian Government.~ Ensured compliance with donor regulations and Tanzanian laws~ Represented SFCG in donor communications, public relations, agreement negotiations and created partnerships with civil society organizations. Created lasting relationships with over 15 partner organizations. ~ Developed overall country strategy, created and applied work-plans as well as administered monitoring of project performance in order to analyze lessons learned and construct project reports.

Total grants successfully executed to completion for the 2 year project were 898. I was responsible for 600 (up to $25,000 USD each) of those grants in just 6 months. ~ Supervised grant management team of approximately 8 Afghan staff and guided local partners.~ Provided input into project briefings and reports and supported Monitoring and Evaluation Team’s investigations.~ Acted as Chief of Party and Deputy Chief of Party as needed.
