Team Leader
Delivering the 12 week Prince's Trust Team programme (PTTP) to help 16-25yrs re-engage with education, work & training in Rugby Town. This was a lone working position and the course is aimed at ex-offenders, young people in care or leaving care, job seekers and young people who have struggled academically.I facilitated this as a level 1 qualification and covered topics and practical elements including: budgeting, career planning, diversity, inclusion, disability awareness, food awareness, fundraising, communication, drug awareness and presentation skills. The course also included a 4 day residential trip, practical community project completion and a chance for the students to practice their own skills working alongside a variety of community groups.I was able to see many young people grow in esteem and confidence as a result of the course and I am so proud to see how successful many of them have become in their careers ever since.
