CurrentCurrent/recent projects include: • Project Acceptance Engineer (System Safety and Interoperability Lead) for Transpennine Route Upgrade Project E1. Responsibilities include implementation of all system safety activities (e.g., HazId workshops) and production of all system safety and interoperability deliverables (e.g., system safety plan, system definition, hazard record, safety justification report and project authorisation strategy) to provide the evidence necessary to demonstrate the project fully complies with CSM RA and RIR, including liaison with the Assessment, Approved and Designated bodies, System Review Panel and the Network Rail Assurance Panel.• Engineering Safety Manager for Crossrail C360 project (design and construction of intervention and escape shafts for the Crossrail Central Section). Responsibilities included the maintenance of the Project Wide Hazard Record for the shafts, which involved hazard identification, determination of the relevant CSM RA risk acceptance principles and identification of safety requirements. Other responsibilities included the production of system safety deliverables and ongoing liaison with the independent Assessment Body and future Infrastructure Manager.• Safety and environmental risk assessments for safety reports for upper tier COMAH sites, including use of the Chemical and Downstream Oil Industries Forum (CDOIF) Guideline for Environmental Risk Tolerability.• Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Coordinator and project management of the decommissioning, demolition and remediation of a large former chemical plant, including Environmental Permit surrender, disposal of large quantities of hazardous waste, liaison with regulatory authorities and compliance with all relevant EHS legislation.• Chairmanship of HAZOP study meetings to review potential safety and operability problems with non-routine operations and proposed modifications to offshore oil and gas installations.
