I am an entrepreneur, investor and company director with global experience in engineering, software, internet, venture capital, and investment management.As an entrepreneur I have been involved as a founder or seed investor in 20+ startups, including founding Connect.Com - the first Australian ISP, E*TRADE Australia - the E*TRADE licensee for Australia and New Zealand, and TechInvest - a global equity long-short fund manager.As a fund manager I worked as Vice President and Portfolio Manager with Bankers Trust Australia, as CEO and MD of Nova Pacific Capital Limited - an ASX listed technology incubator, and Chairman and Chief Investment Officer at TechInvest - investing globally for retail and institutional clients.As a company director I have served on the boards of three Australian Stock Exchange listed entities, the board of a member firm of the Australian Stock Exchange, and continue to act as a director for diverse private companies.Professionally I hold a BSc (Mechanical Engineering) from Stanford University and an MBA (Finance) from Otago University as well as the C.F.A. charter, and served as a research fellow on the faculties of Bond University and the University of Melbourne in Australia.Currently, I'm involved in providing strategic advice as a company director, working with Genesis Private Equity, and managing my own investments.
