Montupet are ISO/TS 16949 certified.As a Quality Engineer, I was accountable for the GDT of several large products which were supplied to large automotive manufaacturers such as FOMOCO. This included the start up for a brand new product, for which I developed a new homologation process that proved to be much more fluid and efficient. This process included PPAP, Run at rate, internally approving tooling, measuring external and internal features of our product using manua techniques, CMM and GOM - an optical measurement device. My daily roles included leading daily and weekly meetings with my team of engineers, and giving guidance on how to maintain the quality of or product through preventative maintenance and an alerts system.During my work at Montupet as a Quality Engineer, I became very confident in my own ability. Through analysing statistical process control data, and observing trends, I was able to show that there were low risk, high value savings that could have been made throughout our process.I oversaw the start-up of a subcontractors machining facility which was used for the new product for which I was involved in Quality control. I liaised with the subcontractor and visited their facility to observe their machining capacity and dimensional control.

My Technical Sales Adviser role tested my product knowledge and problem solving skills as every day presented a new, more bizarre issue. I constantly kept up to date with the state of the art technology, and related it directly to what Maplin Electronics sold, to best serve every customer. The aspect I enjoyed most about this job was the ability to be creative when helping people.
