In the role of General Manager - Project Management for Datacom, I provide the strategic direction of the delivery of project management services across all Datacom projects and manage the people who deliver those services.My key responsibilities are:- Lead a team of project managers and project coordinators across Technical Services- Manager the supply and demand of capacity, capability and pipeline as it relates to project management services- Responsible for maintaining the Project Management utilisation- Be responsible for the management of the Project Management cost centre to meet or exceed the agreed budget- Ensure your team are managing project budgets, attaining necessary approvals, and monitoring project financials- Work closely with the PMO and Resource Management teams to ensure teams are conforming to the expected delivery methodologies- Be responsible for project performance, and the quality of the work delivered- Contribute to project Statements of Work to ensure that delivery risk has been appropriately assessed and that the project governance effort estimates are applied- Actively participate in the pre-sales process for new engagements- Ensure the professional development of team members- Be responsible for continual service improvement

In my role as Program Manager, I have been focused on a key account for Datacom delivering a program of work centred on a cloud strategy. An increased level of collaboration was required in this role due to the restrictions brought on by the global pandemic, which presented unique challenges and opportunities. The program of work includes projects aimed at simplifying the data centre technologies and shifting to a software-defined data centre solution to better align with a Cloud Management Platform. The initiative also included an objective to modernise infrastructure and address concerns around the supportability existing hardware into the future.Coupled with the establishment of a public cloud environment this program is aimed at addressing the customer's needs to evolve and Datacom's need to modernise its support practices and offerings. The migration of customer workloads to the new environments is also part of the objectives.Careful planning, negotiation and scheduling has been required to complete these migrations with several stakeholders engaged across Datacom and the account. As migrations are completed, a separate initiative to remove hardware and realise cost savings has been initiated.

As the National Practice Manager for Datacom's AU Commercial business my key responsibilities were to provide operational, commercial and contractual oversight for the ongoing operation and development of the Project Management group. This role included driving operational maturity through personnel development and growth, ensuring strategic alignment with broader company objectives and introducing collaborative work practices into the day-to-day function of the group.

In my role as a Project Manager for Datacom, I am heavily involved in the day-to-day management of projects including the management of key project areas including Scope, Cost, Quality, Communications and Risk management.
