Some of my accomplishments include creating an endowment fund, founding an orphanage in Guatemala, assisting in opening pediatric hospital in Haiti, founding a charity in the United Kingdom to support life-saving efforts in Africa, and starting a tour to Indian country with our affiliate (Running Strong for American Indian Youth www.indianyouth.org) that is in its 26th year.

Appointed by Governor Warner and reappointed by Governor Kaine. I served as a volunteer Trustee and Vice Chairman. We provided important grants to local Virginia organizations, including UCM in Mount Vernon, trying to prevent and deal with family violence, especially with respect to children. Jim Moran was the greatest guy to work for bar none. He truly cares about the underdog and is a wonderful public servant. I was his aide handling his important work on the House International Relations Committee.
