I serve our City in this position by being available to both sworn and non-sworn employees of the Police Department. By reason of presence and time spent around other City employees, I also build relationship as a Chaplain with non-PD employees of our City as well. Specific duties include doing regular ride-alongs with Officers, attending briefings on a regular basis, officiating ceremonies for Officers and/or their families, offering prayer at City occasions when requested, providing death notifications, and responding to emergencies.

Put simply, in this role, I lead people first toward a commitment to Jesus Christ, and then hopefully into a deeper and daily relationship with Him. While specific responsibilities of this role involve teaching weekly, organizing our weekly services with a team of leaders, and overseeing a staff of leaders who lead others, my greatest responsibility in this role is to walk out a true and authentic relationship with Christ myself. You cannot lead others to places you haven't been yourself.
