I am a seasoned executive with a performance history of bringing fresh ideas to help senior leaders solve complex business and technical challenges.I have had the fortunate opportunity to lead large-scale enterprise information technology transformational initiatives resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in cost savings while setting up my clients for future innovation success.I am fascinated by open-source technology, academic research, and incorporating GenAI into solutions and business transformation. I believe cultivating a hobby of software linguistics keeps your mind sharp. More recently, I have dedicated my personal and professional attention to Generative AI programming, agentic AI and open source LLMs.I help CIOs re-think traditional datacenter and legacy operations as a systematic spectrum of migration to public cloud environments, first just moving workloads there, then re-engineer them to leverage truly cloud-native performance and value creation capabilities.I am very hands-on; I like to see how the technology works for myself and whether it’s ready for prime time. Once I am convinced, it becomes an excellent candidate to add to my client’s technology portfolio. As a calculating engineer, I have found the “best of need” is often more practical than “best of breed.” I treat solution delivery as a lifecycle, not a one-and-done approach.I have enjoyed creating and delivering sophisticated IT solutions that include everything from agile application development, software-defined infrastructure, data analytics, Generative AI strategy & applications, DevOps, IT operations, and all things cloud. I have been able to analyze client and market trends to create products in managed services, cloud platform services, consumer applications, microprocessors, networking, public WiFi, Internet, Web, and mobile. I have a working knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance constructs such as SOC, PCI, HIPAA, and InfoSec HITRUST. I have often been called to turn-around technical delivery and operations demanding strong financial and organizational change management skills. I helped co-found an inner-city, non-profit children’s academy and am seeking to serve on non-profit and corporate boards.
