Leading the Global Equity team, responsible for GAM's Global Equity and Disruptive Growth strategies.At Newton IM (1998-2023):• Head of Global Equities, including responsibility for Continental European equities and Newton’s Japanese equity team• The named lead manager on approx £5bn of assets, long only and mostly benchmarked to MSCI AC World or MSCI EAFE. These include the £1bn BNYM Global Equity pooled fund, as well as an $800m International equity mutual fund in the US and approximately £2.5bn of Global equities for local authority pension funds in the UK. • Also managed money for charities and foundations in the UK and the US• Co-lead on BNY/Newton Sustainable Global Equity, a UK-registered pooled fund; and Sustainable International Equity, an NYSE-listed ETF• Led on Global and International (EAFE) ADR-only delivered models for the US market from 2006-2023• I also managed BNYM's Sustainable Continental European Equity mutual fund • Drawing on the input of Newton’s sector analysts, I selected the most appropriate stocks from a risk, performance-objective and mandate perspective before constructing client portfolios• Chair of Newton’s Global and International Equity Model Groups. Member of Senior Leadership and Investment Executive committees• Strong track record of commercial success and client retention, managing some clients’ money for 15 years+ • Regular appearances on the BBC, CNBC, Bloomberg Radio and Bloomberg TV, as well as the global written financial press. Webcasts (including in Spanish) on company website• Participated in a Newton initiative to act as mentor to some younger members of the Investment team.
