Responsible for a wide variety of project management tasks including: providing background information/context for wayfinding consultant (arts/history, parks/rec, tourism etc.), designation of downtown destinations, creation of GIS maps (planning and transportation based), research of current and future downtown planning and development activities, categorization of intersections and gateways (fieldwork), and providing a detailed analysis of downtown districts. Attended steering committee meetings and continued to volunteer at public participation meetings after conclusion of internship.

Graduate Assistant for Community & Regional Planning Department. Performed advanced research methods and technical writing for a variety of urban planning topics including Tax Increment Financing, adoption of green buildings, and factors of ethnic entrepreneurship. Assisted an interdisciplinary team (Planning, Computer Science, and Economics) with research and project tasks related to a pilot study regarding decision making and economic development projects. Contributed to a scholarly journal article based on the adoption and diffusion of green building trends within the Northwest (see below).

Initiated Complete Streets multimodal transportation analysis as Graduate Assistant in the GIS Department, utilizing a combination of software programs including: CSLOS (Complete Streets Level of Service), Q/LOS (Quality Level of Service), CUBE, ArcMap, Google Earth, and Microsoft Access. Received Planning Student Award of Honor (2013) at APA Idaho Conference for Complete Streets whitepaper, presenting regional/national perspectives, policy analysis, and multimodal level of service mapping.

Created innovative model for bicycle path planning in a Computer Assisted Virtual Environment (CAVE), immersed virtual reality for downtown Idaho Falls, combining LiDAR, orthophotography, my own bicycle GPS data, and shapefiles of bicycle paths.

Integrated advanced green building methods such as greywater capture, radiant heat, polystyrene insulation, and reclaimed material use.

Responsible for project and office management functions under custom residential builder throughout Ada, Canyon, Gem, and Valley counties. Effectively managed construction draws, billing, contracts, schedules, budgets, estimates (from blueprints), inspections, and permitting processes within respective jurisdictions for concurrent projects ranging from $500k - $750K.
