I serve to be a resource for my residents academically and in terms of their personal growth. Many times I have served as a counselor and advocate to my residents as well as a direct connection to their campus and educational needs.As a resident advisor it was my duty to make sure that I set a good example for residents by following all University and residence hall policies and modeling the same responsible and mature behavior expected of residents. I worked to prevent crisis situations and responded appropriately in accordance to confidential matters. I also coordinated and implemented programs and activities within the hall designed to educate and socialize residents. Although this job may seem somewhat unorthodox to some it was necessary to complete all administrative duties and paperwork in a timely fashion just as in any other industry. It is expected of me to complete all paperwork accurately and within established timelines. This includes monthly reports, room condition reports, supervisor evaluations, programming planning and evaluation forms, duty logs, and other documents required by HRL or building supervisor.
