New role: starting up a new org within OCI to build a Studio in the Cloud suite of services.Previously:Provide technical leadership, oversight, design and code reviews on projects across multiple teams within OCI's Core Compute group and the Containers and Kubernetes - Serverless group. Also assisted with Tier0 customers' engineering efforts throughout their migration projects. Designed and led the implementation of a feature that allows an NVMesh cluster to be deployed as a managed service, which unblocked a Tier0 customer during their migration project. Assisted with the ideation, scope, and design for a DC power integration project. The project was to implement VEPO and DPC mechanisms, which provide tooling during LSE's, help improve power utilization, and increase available compute capacity. Stepped in to lead a microservices separation project which had languished for 2 years with slow and inconsistent progress. I stepped in to take the project to completion. With a team of 4 engineers, we completed the remainder of the project in 10 months, resulting in more than 40% increase in developer productivity and 60% reduction in operations and maintenance costs. Designed the Compute Clusters feature and lead a team of 3 engineers through implementation and release, which unblocked the largest customer of OCI to be able to use HPC and GPUs in the cloud. Stepped in as a resource on a project to re-architect shape ingestion and hardware recycling automation. Helped design the workflow/handler/driver pattern; then implemented the code with those patterns. This project reduced new shape ingestion from 6 weeks to less than 2 weeks. Stepped in to lead the Run Command Latency project, which was on hold with a 4-6 month timeline. I stepped in and worked with the team to complete the design and implementation in under 2 months. The project unblocked a critical internal team's timeline which helped them release new features to their customers.

Senior member of an e-commerce application development team responsible for a B2B order entry system using J2EE, Struts, JSP’s, and PL/SQL with an Oracle back-end. Over 1 million people use the app, which generates over 40k orders and $7million in revenue per day. Maintained a leadership role in converting the portion of the app that is PL/SQL-based, to a J2EE-based web app. Designed and implemented a custom PL/SQL adapter for delivering free-with-purchase functionality, which integrated with a promotional engine service. Designed and developed a custom PL/SQL logging mechanism similar to log4j for the database logic layer, including package level logging and user-level logging. Designed and implemented a custom Struts component that integrated with a legacy PL/SQL app, a new SOA layer, and a third party search engine (Endeca Navigation Engine). The component provides an improved search and browse feature for a catalog of over 250k products and gets over 1 million hits per day.
