At VROEGH Design I have worked in different roles, such as designer, developer, engineer & project manager. Soon enough my role crystallised into 'Head of Development'. Among previous mentioned tasks, I was responsible for the planning and execution of all developments within VROEGH and supervise the quality of the output.During my employment I have fulfilled tasks such as:- Internal process optimisation- Project scope management- Project planning- Team lead- Product design- 3D modelling- Prototyping- Product and production sourcing- Product quality assessment- Production preparation- Production supportUndoubtedly there's more, since the work has always been very diverse.

I was the 4th employee when I started at this beautiful brand. Despite my education and ambition to become full-time bicycle designer I needed to help in production as well. With four people running the show, everybody does everything. This proved to be a very valuable learning process.Over the years the company grew, as did my role as developer. Still performing a broad variaty of tasks, such as website, DTP, trade shows & sourcing, more and more time was spend developing aluminium, titanium and cromoly bicycle frames, front forks and loads of ODM bicycle parts.Meanwhile I have been mentor for multiple graduate students doing their final projects.The last few years I have been commited to maintain and improve Santos' complete offring. Making sure all models stay up-to-date implementing improvements to enhance quality, production, usability, compatibilty and versitality.Santos Bikes are custombuilt for each customer, so the compatibility of parts and frames is key to their succes. Therefor this was one of the top priorities in my designs.
