But as I’ve invested a lot in the topic over the past 2 years, I look at it as sort of a guide in life. At GoodUp I’m lucky enough to act on the frontlines of the purpose economy. It’s amazing to learn about how big businesses think about and act on purpose. I’m positively surprised by the beautiful examples of purpose driven action I see every day. I use LinkedIn as a channel to share these experiences with business leaders and individuals who, like me, are looking to accelerate the purpose economy. Walking the talk by talking the talk so to say.MY CURRENT TAKE ON WHAT PURPOSE IS:Purpose has become one of the most widely accepted terms for doing what is right, because of the right reasons.Doing what’s right, means making positive impact on individuals, society and/or the planet. I feel that deep within, every human being feels the need to contribute in some way to its surroundings. Business leaders are people, and businesses are just a lot of people working together with a potential to make a lot of impact. All feel that same drive to contribute.The right reasons are selfless (or self-transcendent).
