As Group Executive, Member Experience, I provided executive-level strategic leadership, development and management of Hostplus' Member Experience division, responsible for the achievement of high-quality member-centric experiences and outcomes for Hostplus' members, employers and stakeholders. Encompassing; Marketing/Brand | Strategic Partnerships | Business Growth | Key Client Relationships | Product | Retirement Solutions | Advice.In this highly visible executive role, I made a valued and outcomes-evidenced contribution to the development and implementation of Hostplus' strategy, business plans, stakeholder and policy engagement, product development and operational service delivery.During a significant period in this role I also had primary executive responsibility for working with the Chief Executive Officer to shape and drive Hostplus’ marketing and brand strategy. I was also accountable for managing, protecting, enhancing and promoting Hostplus’ reputation and corporate affairs interests, key strategic stakeholder management, policy and advocacy strategies.Throughout my time in this role I led a talented, multi-disciplinary, and nationally dispersed team of over 95 FTE, dedicated to ensuring that, as one of Australia’s most trusted superannuation brands, Hostplus remained at the forefront of delivering market-leading products and services to members, employers and stakeholders. Under my leadership, my team worked hard to ensure these products and services were, at all times, market-leading, high performing, compliant and member-focused, in order to achieve key outcomes in alignment with Hostplus' broader strategy.I also played a pivotal strategic, leadership and managerial role, as the Executive Sponsor, in operationally leading and successfully executing Hostplus’ five successful fund mergers between 2019 and 2023, and related achievements, activities and outcomes during this my period.

As Group Executive, Retirement Solutions and Advice I had principal executive responsibility for leading the design, development and delivery of Hostplus’ retirement products, services and customer experience strategy, management of the retirement, direct investment and pooled superannuation trust products and platforms and Hostplus’ financial planning and advice services.This involved ensuring retirement services, advice and products were professional, high-performing, compliant and consistently member-focused and achieved key result areas and outcomes in alignment with Hostplus’ broader strategy.This role also afforded me the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the Fund’s leadership team, the development and implementation of Hostplus' strategy, business plans, stakeholder and policy engagement, product development and operational service delivery. The role provided and required of me principal accountability for designing, developing, building and driving Hostplus’ overarching retirement strategy, framework and business plans, its product and services solution suite and financial planning and advice services.

As Group Executive responsible for its business growth, key strategic client relationships and financial planning and advice portfolios, I was instrumental in leading Hostplus' efforts to identify and secure new-to-Hostplus business growth opportunities, deliver high-quality account management services to our key employer stakeholders and timely and valued financial advice to our members. From October 2014 to July 2016 I also had executive leadership responsibility for our product function.

I led and managed the effective and efficient operation and administration of the Member and Consumer Choice Department, including contributing to the development and implementation of the Fund’s Strategic and Business plans as approved by the Board.In this role I enhanced the growth of the Fund, through the products and services available to members, including developing and introducing an innovate direct investment option as an alternative to a self managed superannuation fund for relevant members.My role also required me to take executive responsibility for members’ accumulation accounts and their transition to pre-retirement and retirement, utilizing innovation and well-performed pension and retirement products. I led and managed the Fund's financial planning function, ensuring its development and achievement of business objectives.I also represented the Fund on external bodies and industry fora, and led and delivered other strategic and operational projects in concert with the Chief Executive Officer, including securing the Fund's MySuper licence.

After successfully completing strategic consulting assignments for several major financial services businesses, I enjoyed an extended period travelling internationally with my family.
