As Associate Publisher I held general responsibility for the performance of the business and specific responsibility for editorial operations (2004-2010), events (2008-2012), and online/digital operations (2004 – 2015).

Led development and expansion of BusinessInsurance.com and all digital/interactive products, including both content and advertising. Designed strategies to serve the information and marketing needs of our B2B audience, while setting strategies to manage the transformation of publishing brought about by innovations in technology.

Business Insurance Europe was a London-based newspaper and online news service launched for the European risk management community. Merged into Business Insurance in March 2009. As editorial director, helped set business plan and hire the editorial leadership and provide guidance and support for all content.

The mission of the Spencer Educational Foundation, Inc. is to stimulate, promote and encourage promising students of risk management disciplines by supporting them in fulfilling their educational goals. The Foundation provides scholarship awards, educational grants and knowledge programs for undergraduate, graduate and part-time MBA students.

The Insurance Advisory Board of Executives comprises industry leaders who represent national and regional financial and insurance organizations committed to helping Illinois State University create the finest undergraduate insurance program in the nation. Members of the Advisory Board are involved in all aspects of the insurance program, including curriculum, student development, faculty research, continuing education, and industry services.
