Worked as a trainee in day to day plant operations; on DCS as well as in field. Involved in plant turn-around for catalyst change-outs, equipment inspection and other shut-down related activities. Completed a study to calculate the pressure profile of a complex gas loop to identify the sources of pressure loss and provided options to mitigate them.

- Developed and characterized Silica and Titania based Anti-Reflective thin films on glass substrates to improve their transmittance in visible spectrum; This has substantial influence on solar cell efficiency by increasing the effective transmittance- Optimized the multi-layered coating thicknesses and achieved a maximum transmittance of 98% for a single wavelength and an average of 95% in visible range of wavelengths

- Project was based on the pyrolysis of rubber and plastic wastes into useful fuel oil- Implemented modifications to increase the efficiency of the pilot plant and proposed a safe way to reuse the combustible gases produced during pyrolysis- Succeeded in increasing efficiency of pilot plant by almost 10% and extracted fuel oil from carpet/cloth material using the modified pilot plant
