I am Pavithra Ramanujam, a multidisciplinary designer and photographer based in India. I started as a self-taught designer and later graduated with a Master’s in Communication Design (specialising in Photography) from the National Institute of Design, India. I am detail-oriented in my work, with a good grasp of the text and the image.Previously, I worked as a Graphic & UI/UX Designer at NFN Labs, Chennai and helped design user-experience for early-stage digital products/prototypes from 2012 to 2015. Design education helped me strengthen and extend my existing practice further. I ran Friday Matinee Studio with a friend from 2019 to 2021, focused on marketing design for SaaS companies like Chargebee, SlashDr and CultureMonkey. Since 2015, I have also been practising as a freelance designer working on brand design, publication design and design for events & exhibitions. I helped solopreneur brands like Pankaja Ayurveda, Amari Pondicherry, and Flourishing Kids build and scale their brands by providing them with simple solutions and guidelines to help them develop social media posts/creatives with minimal effort. Between 2019 and 2022, I was a part of the core design team at NID that worked on the Guest of Honour Pavilions for the Govt. of India in international book fairs in Abu Dhabi, Mexico and France and the New Delhi World Book Fair in India. Working independently and in smaller teams helped me take ownership of the tasks and meet the goals, irrespective of the nature of deliverables. I have a well-rounded experience of 8 years with capacities in marketing design, brand design, user experience design, illustration and photography. Over the last decade, I have worked on presentations, websites, apps, exhibitions, book formats, logos and other collaterals for individuals and companies.
