Engineered sophisticated control systems tailored for three-wheeler vehicles, focusing on the optimization of performance and efficiency in 12/8 switched reluctance motor (SRM) and induction motor applications. Developed precise Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) generation code, integrating dead-band insertion on the STM32F407 microcontroller. This involved adept utilization of bare-metal programming and embedded C, showcasing a deep understanding of microcontroller applications.Implemented configurations for timers, counters, and GPIO selection to ensure precise control and performance optimization in the control systems. This demonstrates not only technical proficiency but also a practical application of foundational knowledge in microcontroller technologies.Broadening the scope, the expertise extends to the comprehensive understanding of microcontroller applications in diverse components, such as DC-AC 3-phase inverters, DC/DC converters, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and various battery technologies. This multifaceted knowledge underscores a holistic approach to electric vehicle systems.In parallel, a 12/8 Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) model was meticulously crafted using the finite element analysis method, implemented within the MATLAB/Simulink environment. This model served as a virtual representation for in-depth analysis and optimization of motor performance.Taking the analysis a step further, the engineer executed Model-in-Loop (MIL) and Software-in-Loop (SIL) testing for the 12/8 Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) within a closed-loop system. A unique torque-sharing function technique was incorporated using MATLAB/Simulink, showcasing not only theoretical knowledge but also practical application in testing environments. This approach ensures that the theoretical models seamlessly integrate with real-world applications, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of control systems and motor dynamics.
