I am the Head of Regulatory Practice and Standards at the Mental Health Commission - an Irish regulator of in-patient mental health services. I work with the Inspector of Mental Health Services to promote the best practice and to ensure regulatory compliance in the sector. As the head of the division, I provide support to regulatory managers, business intelligence executives, and the team of standards creators. My primary responsibility is to monitor providers of mental health services in Ireland.Over the years I gained experience in leading large-scale projects. I was part of the team building the Decision Support Service - statutory body that promotes the rights of those who need assistance with decision-making. In my current role I hold a portfolio of high-profile projects linked to the strategic objectives.As for my background I am a social worker registered with CORU and I have a master's degree in sociology. Everything I do is driven by professionalism, a strong commitment to ethical principles, and empathy for the end user of social and healthcare services.
