Working as a nanny helped get me through college. Throughout my 5-6 years nannying, I gained multi-tasking and communication skills with both parents and children, adapted a positive attitude in stressful situations, and learned how to organize and manage my time. I mostly worked with toddlers, ages 1 to 4 and always with families that had multiple children. When the kids are screaming, crying, making messes, etc., I've had to keep a level head to be able to deal with it. So now, with years of practice, I handle stress very well. I'm good about not letting things get to me too often, and when they do, I certainly don't show it. Little kids are fast, so quick-thinking was a must with this job in order to keep up.
