As a senior Quality Assurance Engineer I have demonstrated technical and leadership expertise as well as qualities that are sometimes more elusive in engineers, strong interpersonal and communication skills.I have extensive experience, 20+ years, in formal software development environments, with my focus on Quality Assurance activities to automate and test complex software applications for end users both internal and external to my organizations.* As the lead QA engineer for the E-Commerce team at Linden Lab, I developed automated testing for both backend APIs and frontend web services for payments, authentication, registration, and email web services using Behavior Drive Development frameworks and Selenium web driver. Accomplished Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery with the ability to release code changes multiple times a day.* Lead a team of 13 QA engineers for the payments team at Linden Lab to develop and test the payments system. Manual black and white box testing efforts resulted in robust internal payments system.* As the primary QA engineer for the debugger group at Hewlett Packard, I ported and developed new test suites targeted to cross-platform testing of the GDB based debugger, and added additional test coverage for new functionality prior to releases.* In my role as the lead QA engineer for the compiler group at Hewlett Packard, I validated quarterly tools updates to external customers as well as internal development organizations. Utilizing multi-processor NSK systems, I developed multi-threaded cross platform automation that reduced test cycles on compilers from two weeks to as little as two days, and decreased test execution staff from 4 engineers to 1 engineer.* At Verity Inc. I developed and maintained both the tests and the automation framework for testing the search engine on more than 20 different distributed platforms.* At MetaWare Inc. as a technical writer, I wrote and maintained the end-user Library Reference Manual.
