This was a new High Performance Computing (HPC) and Data Management environment for global Geological and Geophysical Seismic and Reservoir resources. The project involved utilizing SharePoint for Data/Document Management, the creation of a new primary production Data Center, secondary Data Center (Disaster Recovery), and the utilization of the Landmark Suite of applications and other associated Geo related software. In addition, the project implemented Remote Visualization software and Palo Alto Security with SolarWinds monitoring. User Data migration of the current global environment (Africa, South America, Australia, Europe, U.S.) to the new global environment resulted in improved application performance and provided higher quality analysis results for the Business.

All program/project work was in compliance with BP and T-Systems contractual SLAs and KPIs, Digital Security, BP Business Unit Standards, HSSE, Risk Management, and global BP Infrastructure standards during the analysis through implementation, testing and operational handover of the project/program. The key project was the successful new $10M global Petrotechnical Computing environment for the global Geological and Geophysical Seismic and Reservoir resources that provided Subsurface staff standardized workflows and the capability to execute Petrel, OpenWorks, and other Geo related software in one integrated environment, minimizing duplication of effort, and enabling the creation of faster and more accurate models.
