Senior Software Engineer
CurrentI spearheaded an effort to build a ground up software solution in the medical physics community. I continue to support this application for its 13th year. I recently completed a complete user interface re-write to meet the needs of a more modern user interface/experience. This application is developed in Visual Studio. It is a multi-tier application written in C# utilizing a SQL Server back end and WPF on the front end. Although the centerpiece of the product for which this software was developed is a medical physics device, the software has often taken center stage and receives accolades consistently from our customers. I've created an exciting user experience and provided innovation to a field that is often reluctant to accept change.7/21/2022 UpdateAfter more than 13 years with Sun Nuclear I still find joy in working in the medical oncology industry. I've had the opportunity to work with great people and garner new and exciting skills. The application for which I have developed and maintained for the first 9+ years of development has undergone a complete user interface redesign. Like all applications that run their course, this one was ready for a face lift. The prior version was a WinForms front end and the new user interface has been developed as a WPF application. There is a great deal more control and power that I have leveraged while still using the many years of back end logic and source code. Although the current application is considered the best in the market, this new version promises to be a huge leap forward for the customer experience. My primary goals of providing a more intuitive user experience and a better workflow have been validated by overwhelmingly positive feedback from our customers. We continue to lead the industry with our product and customers often choose Sun Nuclear over our competitors because of the user experience that this software package provides.
