As a Sergeant for The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians my role is to supervise a team of officers to ensure they have the tools to succeed in helping keep the members or the tribe, residents of the San Manuel Reservation and patrons of Yaamava Resort and Casino Safe.Examples of my day to day duties include:- Supervising a team of Public Safety Officers and Public Safety Assistants in their day to duties- Scene Managing Emergency Incidents- Scene Managing Critical incidents - Reviewing, Correcting and Approving Crime Reports- Executing team briefings- Writing daily shift schedules- Performing one on one performance reviews with mentees - Completing disciplinaries when needed- Handling patron and employee complaints- Liaising with the San Bernardino Sheriff Department- Engaging in high visibility armed foot patrol

It is my job to conduct all the relevant enquiries and the initial investigation to all incidents that happen in the area that I cover, as-well as responding to any emergency incidents that get reported whenever I am available.I am front line and person centred and proactive, ensuring to the best of my ability that no one is left to feel vulnerable as a result of a crime they have reported and to put forward, where I can any solutions to future problems that may arise.
