He performs detailed structural design calculations using applicable design codes and manuals including but not limited to Philippine Codes (NSCP Volume 1-Buildings, NSCP Volume 2-Bridges); American Codes (ACI Manuals and Publications, AISC Manuals, UBC 97, IBC 2006, ASCE Standards, Unified Facilities Criteria/UFC, AWWA Publications, AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications, AREMA Manual for Railway Engineering); British Standards (BS 6399, BS 8110, BS 5950); Singapore Standards (CP65, Eurocode), and is familiar with the stringent provisions for seismic design, both for bridges and buildings.
